8.2 Command-Line Arguments

wxeditor [-sid <session-id>] | [-host <host> -port <port> -authType pwd|cert
          -authUser <user> [-authPwd <password> | -authCert <certfile>]]
         [-file <path>] [-lang <code>] [-theme <name>] [-h]
Argument Description
-sid <session-id> Connect using an SSH session from wxterm’s sessions.json
-host <host> -port <port> Direct remote connection
-authType pwd\|cert Auth type: password or certificate
-authUser <user> Login username
-authPwd <password> Password (enc: prefix = wxterm master-key encrypted)
-authCert <file> Private key path (temp key files are deleted after reading)
-file <path> File to open at startup (remote)
-lang <code> UI language code (e.g. en, zh-CN)
-theme <name> UI theme name
-h Show usage

Examples:

# Local mode (same as double-click launch)
wxeditor

# Open a local file (its directory becomes the project)
wxeditor -file ~/project/ROV/main.rs

# Connect with a wxterm session and open a remote file
wxeditor -sid abc123 -file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf

# Direct remote connection
wxeditor -host 192.168.1.90 -port 22 -authType pwd -authUser root \
         -authPwd secret -file /var/log/app.log

Without -sid and without direct-connection arguments, the app starts in local mode: remote features are disabled and the file tree defaults to the user’s home directory.
